Jon, that paralysed dream is a classic - I've had it once, and thought "how interesting, this is that incubus thing people report"!

I also produced a version of one I'd read about Jung analyising, in which a woman woke to find a group of hooded figures standing round her bed. he thought it meant she should stop intellectualising and studying so much. Or that is the impression I got, and got rather angry about. The odd thing about this was extra to the Jungian plagiarism. I had just driven from my parents's home, where I slept in a bed where I was on the left of a double, with the door in the same wall as the bedhead, on the right. I was in my own bed, a wide single, where I usually got in and out on the right, and the door was across the room in the right hand wall.
In the dream, I believed I woke up in the bed in my parents' house, surrounded by the hooded figures, told them to clear off, got out of bed and went around it to go to the door. Part the way there, I found my self waking up as I fell, and recovered without hitting the floor, after tripping over the suitcase on the floor.
This is the only occasion for which I have any evidence of sleepwalking - I've never been caught at it at anyone else's house.
On another occasion, I was on a course in an old school building. there was a corridor between my bedroom and the loo, and part way along the corridor was a fire door. The corridor was very creaky. I woke, wanting to go to the loo, and started off down the corridor, floating just above the floor so as not to disturb other sleepers. It was only when I reached the fire door, and realised that without my feet on the floor I would not be able to open it, that part of my brain kicked in with "hang about, floating?" and made me wake properly. I walked carefully down the edge of the corridor where the boards didn't creak!
