I went in to clean house once and found a note on counter with instrux not to vacuum as owner had lost her diamond engagement ring. I made a beeline to her closet and found it on the floor. Remembered that my own engagement ring used to get caught on clothing in closet.
Put the ring on her instruction note, explaining why I suspected it would be there and did the vacuuming anyway. I got $25.00 and a bottle of wine for Christmas from customer.
