Fred, just to clarify, as said that was *my* interpretation of Max's statement about "retiring" members rather than his own words, which were:


"*Mudcat is not for everyone. Some members will be encouraged to retire.
*mudcat.org has to deal with the troll independent of the ideologies
*UK members are 1/4 of the mudcat community. Our standards, philosophies, goals, freedoms, rules, allowances... are for the whole.
*Freedom remains a fundamental principal of mudcat.org


He's said that he'll be going into greater detail about the above statement later, and until such time as he elaborates, my interpretation of his statement may well have been an overly 'blunt' one.
