(Two very popular Glasgow songs of the time)

Mind just because it (Coulter's Candy) was popular in Glasgow it doesn't make it a Glasgow song. I used to sing that as an infant in the early 60s and was always told it was a local (i.e. Borders) song. Don't know if it is perhaps based on an earlier song but by local tradition at least in its current form it relates to a street sweet merchant who lived in 19th Galashiels.
