Drums as a musical instrument to create rhythm and beat came well before any other musical instrument on the planet and are therefore the founding fathers of all forms of music, song and dance.

Without such primal rhythms created from the dawn of mankind and infused into our consciousness none of what you like to hear, play or dance to would have evolved and exist now.

So stop beating up the drums me hearties and give them some well deserved respect.........



Mind you.... I do agree about too many very badly played and off beat Bodhrans in sessions!!! If you can't respect the drum and play it well you are probably best to not even try in public until you can.
