Since the fascinating and impossible incident 35 years ago I have brought the incident to mind constantly at least several times a week in passing thought. I have written and spoken about it profusely. I even wrote an illustraed poem about it 10 years ago. " Balls of light and second sight " The encounter drove me to read and study physics, cosmology, dimensional math and explore sci fi themes for clues over the decades.
EUREKA i believe i found the answer.
What I saw was a quantum wormhole. The event horizon/entrance/exit is incredibly small, only about the width of several atoms, but the area of space time distortion and matter passing between the two points made a visible nebulus sphere with a weak glow of about 5.5 inches. I only witnessed the two moving spheres pass through a brick wall after my cat fluffed up into a frightened ball of fur. The phenomenon had the sound that femined me of infra sound. I subtle barely audible white noise hissed from the objects. When I placed a finger at the event horizon of the glow I expereinced a very odd confusion of normal time along with a surge of adrenaline from the strange encounter. It did not change course because of me or near touch as they both passed through the interior walls and could not be found after searching the interpolated course they were on. They traveled about 6 or 7 feet apart and in tandem. I assume that it dissipated out of my view. It may only be able to pass through a certain amount of matter before it "pops" like bubble.
Quantum wormholes are rare. The only thing different about Rochester NY is that they have a laser fusion reactor that uses electricity for their research that for a split second is equal to the energy use of the east coast. The bedrock is still expanding after compression of miles of ice during the ice ages and the city is on Lake Ontario. {erhpas these factors are unrelated to the phenomenon of quantum wormholes but I have given this matter an extraordinary amount of thought. There were times I wondered if I had seen a life forms or intelligence. I was on the right track when I ascribed a dimensional incursion of some sort.
While rare, many people have seen these things. That I saw both the entrance and exit of a wormhole may be unique. It happens enough that tricksters have posted phoney pictures of soap bubbles that are a sophmoric representation of what the real phenomenon looks like.
The quantum wormholes are a distortion of regular space time. FOr me the effect was exhillarting, confusiong but benign. Seeing a seemingly impossible thing, along with my cat, did send me on a mission of understanding that lasted longer than I would have ever anticipated.
