Ball lighting can be created at home, I know I did it. Take a piece of paper or cig, light it, blow it out so it smokes, then put it in the microwave. The microwave will cause the carbon + and - electrons to shed and bind together, what you get is a plasma ball that is the exact copy of ball lighting .. it will however melt the microwave .. my missus was pissed.
