On installing:

At HearMe Voice Creator, it wants to:
Install C:\INTERNET\NETSCAPE\PROGRAM\plugins\npevp.dll
Replace C:\INTERNET\NETSCAPE\PROGRAM\plugins\nsevp.class
Install C:\INTERNET\NETSCAPE\PROGRAM\plugins\npjac.dll

The licence comes up but also
JaveScript Application
SmartUpdate internal failure (4)

then I'm connected & all works. (That is, I can connect
normally and the HearMe Demo works normally, too

then I close Netscape 4.73

on re-open, Welcome To The Mudcat HearMe Page! only opens 94% even if I give it lots of time

on clicking ClickHere the HearMe window opens and sometimes I can hear but I can't actually connect, type or talk. And I find that Netscape (including the HearMe window) is frozen.

Following the instructions to uninstall and reinstall makes no change.
