So you could leave the AC on and wait it out.

The air conditioning is on. It has been since late May. Yes, we're waiting it out, we're stuck with it. Every day but 1 in July has been over 100^o, and on that July 1 it was probably 99^o.

John, don't become a statistic of one of those old farts who gets rolled over by his own tractor. :)
