Hey guys, this is getting interesting!
Like the idea of a groundswell of interest in the first Caledonian Mudcatters Shindig, but thinking that we may get lost in the general swell of things at the Taybank Hotel. They've usually got somebody performing at weekends and that makes the session part and the accomodation part difficult and expensive. If you can't get a hostel nearby, the Hotels are £35.00 per night.
Also, the Taybank's geography may alienate the mudcatters from Campsie and Dumfries; surely there's something more central?
Also, just a thought; maybe we DONT need to be BIG on our first meeting, just a few little evenings to begin with, to get to know each other before planning an event, per sae. (maybe I'm just being stupit, but slap ma face if you think so!)
