We got to 30 Celsius today, or 86 in old money. Not as bad as you, but bad enough. I can tell by how low the bird bath gets.

I went on the local health walk today, mostly in little bits of woodland. It was much more rural than last weeks, but we did have one casualty as a woman slipped off the side of the path. It wasn't very high, but there was grass over it, and she hit her temple on something. I gather her husband came for her, and took her to A&E.

I made the interesting discovery of a huge midden of horse manure just off the path in one wood. I think some of it will be finding its way to my compost bin. Much easier than waiting for the passing horses to deposit on the roads.
