I am a fellow Mississippian and know all too well the way the law is in some of these "hick" towns. My brother died fighting a fire set by an arsonist. The suspected arsonist happened to be a dear friend of the sheriff.

An investigation determined that the fire was indeed an act of arson. At that point, the "High Sheriff" stopped any further investigation. Nothing further has been done in fifteen years.

But, Addie, there is a Higher Sheriff, and He will deal with all involved.
