Yes! When I tried resubmitting my "Link1 Link2 ... " message, while not logged on, it wouldn't even preview the message; it immediately took me to the main forum page.

So I assume there is something that blocks nonmembers (or non-logged-in members) from submitting messages that contain certain HTML. And I'll bet it does have something to do with Max's recent attempts to block spam.

I don't blame him for doing that--I think it is important to block spam--but it would be nice to get a message that tells you why your message wasn't accepted.

However, I don't think this is the only reason messages sometimes don't "take." People have been complaining about this problem for a long time.

Anyway, we now know one solution: get a membership and log in! (Which is a good thing to do anyway.)
