Jon, in my case it can't be a matter of phrases or words, because I've posted exactly the same post or new thread - no changes in wording or formatting - and it won't "take" on the first or maybe even the second try, but on the third it does.

I know the posts are exactly the same, because I've developed a habit of copying my post before I hit "submit," after having had too many cases of working out a rather complex or relatively long post and having it vanish into the ether.

I still think it's gremlins.
