You might have read about this..google for details..but a boy was plucked out of the ocean by surf swimmers a couple of days ago..dead probably for an hour...they kept doing CPR, finally he had a pulse.

A little girl, 12 years old, boggie boarded out to initially rescue him..he was on her board and a wave knocked them both over..he went under, she made it to shore..swimmers found the boy, basically dead, he was brought to local hospital and then a Portland hospital..came to..has spoken a bit..is expected to have brain damage but you just don't know..he sounded coherent a couple of times.
