A young man came to my door last night and with a sigh of resignation asked "Are you for, against or neutral on gay marriages." He was astonished when I agreed to sign his petition, offer to volunteer my time and give a donation (small but a donation). His final question in a very embarrassed tone was " Ma'am, may I have a glass of water?"
He got his water, ice cold.
