On Inis Oirr I also picked up one of the very last genuine Aran fisherman's vests. It was made by the mother in law of the lady who ran the gift shop and it was very old fashioned even then. Someone remarked that the fishermen always used to see them. It's a beautifully made garment, just the thing for a Canadian winter.
