We went to the Po Girl concert and could not understand them. We were not sure if it was their poor diction or the PA sound quality. Nice voices and playing, but a shame we did not hear any of their stories. Anyone else heard what they sing about?
Chumbawumba for me were the highlight of the concerts. Stories worth listening to sung really well.
Strothman - we did a pub crawl on the Thursday instead of going to the BD concert - and did not stay in any of them long. The organisers have obviously an eye to the market - as most of the pubs were full of the non folkie punters seemingly enjoying the music. Monroes revenge and a jazz/ blues band from Manchester were worth catching.
