Perhaps my greatest talent is the empathy I have with animals. (people are a challenge in comparison)

I just pick up the bat carefully by day while they are in a sleep torpor and put them in a safe place outdoors.

The shared bond we have with animals is insticntive but requires a degree of empathetic common sense.

People who have a short list of animals they trust are the ones who will mistreat animals out of ignorance, not meaness.

PS ignorance is not an excuse but something you can overcome.

I have found myself in the midst of animals who would certainly have caused harm to other people who have a mind set different from my own. The only animals who have harmed me in my entire life has been people.
