I remember the spoof the Halliard did on Tom Jones' Green Green Grass of home. Chelmsford folk club met on Sunday evening at the White Hart in Tindal Street then at the Saracens Head in the High Street. I have a recording I made of Peers Hayman and Peter Cox who did their farewell "gig" there on June 16th 1968. I only remember the date because it is my birthday. I have the recordings on a CD now as the orignal was getting stretched.In spite of my best efforts I can't find out anything about this duo. They did know I was recording them (on a Phillips Cassette recorder.) because I was sitting in the front row. I remember lots of banter between them and Dave Moran. Such happy times, not been to a proper folk club in years. Sue Barfield
