Obama may he hamstrung by the Tea Party in that he has a corporate bent which may preclude him standing up to Wall Street or the Tea Party. Right now, he is beholden to the MIC which is really telling him what to do.

Tripoli may be another quagmire, no government established, billions going into that war, but one thing is for certain. If Obama is for it, the Tea Party will be against it.

The theological mindset of the Tea Party sees Obama as the "anti-Christ" and the wave of religious wing-nuts are giving his political demise biblical support, mostly inferential and interpretive. Their view of theology supports the idea that rich people deserve what they have because their god wills it, a Pat Robertson bromide, and the motivation for Bachmann and Perry.

The only way Obama can be re-elected is if he has the temerity to take all of this on but the question remains, why is he so intent on his view of "compromise"? Does he fear the violent power of the religious wing-nuts? Is he sympathetic to Wall Street and their support for him at the next election? Is he sensitive to the fact that racism is alive and well in the US?

Why did he agree to the gang of 12 which will reach an impasse and trigger cuts in social programs?
