I'd be happy to see "wet." Not so happy to see wind.
Of course, here in NC, we have had hurricanes do at least as much harm from "wet" as we have from wind - I am on high ground, but no so high as to have to worry about mudslides.
Will keep an eye on it, and will probably start tomorrow night moving stuff into the shed that might blow around in sustained 30 knot winds, but just as a precaution. Right now, looks likely Irene will track far enough east to not cause wind problems or significant danger of tornados in my neck of the woods. Am guessing we will get the benefit of much needed rain but not so much as to be a threat much west of Raleigh.
