However, I think ANY rephrasing of "to boldly go" would render the most well-known split infinitive trite in terms of public perception. Note that "to go boldly" or "boldly to go" just don't have the same ring as to boldly go where no man has gone before.

It's a small point but one I thought you'd enjoy. I know I have.

Last, it's the placement of the adverb that so confuses the issue. Without adverbs the problem would not exist. It requires but a few moments of though to seriously reconsider the error as I just did not.
