Subject: RE: Whitby FF seems very quiet this year
There is a pub at the bottom of Silver St(forget its name) that I kept walking past betwen gigs and digs, and there are always seemed to be an unofficial session blasting out. I must admit I didn't play in any unofficial sessions myself, not for want of inclination but basically because I was kept fairly busy by the festival. Some of that time being spent leading an official session, which was packed as were most other events I attended.
The best bits of the festival for me were Jim Eldon's diary, which is I hope something which will be featured by other festivals, a wondrous entertainment. And the other thing was Peta Webb's birthday session at the football club, particulaly Sheila Stewart's performance, and Tom McCarthy in the after-session small hours session.
