Most Maritimers and Newfies prefer rum. (I only make that distinction because because of historical definitions.

"Snarple" : Orange juice in a tall glass, two marachino cherries and one tsp of the juice, nasty rum (Screech, Old Sam, best is London Dock... the strong stuff... only available in NF... use to bring it home by the case fer me buddies). Ya pour the rum, kept in a freezer, into the OJ SLOWLY. The OJ is good for you. The cherries and cherry juice are good for you and keep you from getting hiccups and a hangover. The rum, well that is good AND bad for you.

Fact is, poured correctly, two of those with London Dock or Navy 151 will last you all night and won't mess you up for the next day... just for tonight.
