I usually star a beard in late September and save in April. It just seems to got that way. During the summer I might get lazy and go a little while without shaving. The one big exception is I pretty much always shave fo funerals and viewings. (Sure enough, if I have to shave in January or February for a funeral I know it's gonna get 10 degrees colder and the wind's gonna blow harder than it had been all winter.) A friend of mine a couple years ago saw me clean-shaven and asked "Who died?". It was intended as a joke but I had actually been to see somebody laid out earlier that day.

Ok, enough morbid stuff. Somebody tell a nice beard anecdote.
