Okay I am going to check in here at least until I finish cleaning up from Hurricane Irene. Sixteen inches of water in the basement when you prepped for 12 is still a mess. I'm losing steam (I started preparing a week ago and it's been full steam since)

I just found out it will be a week before I can get my hot water heater and furnace looked at I'm on standbye for a cancellation. Because of my boys autoimmune issues everything has to be cleaned to prevent molding....so I'm getting silt off of basement floors and bleaching them today. Luckily the dryer was under less water (finished area on platform and started right up) so I can at least clean up the few things that did get wet. Later today I'll take a break and post a few photos....
