I don't know if they are accepting donations, but I heard a really sad story on npr, today, about a library in Upper Jay, NY, which lost almost all of its children's books and many others. Here's a bit about it:

A pile of books(sitting on the lawn, waiting for removal) shows that at the Wells Memorial Library in Upper Jay. A third of the library's 10,000 book collection was destroyed.

"The first two levels of every shelf in the library and the majority of the children's section," said Marie-Anne Azar Ward of Wells Memorial Library.

One woman was quoted in another story, saying wherever she was in upstate NY, they'd lost about 1,000 antique books.
