". . . if I said Obama was the best President we ever had, Don, you, and crew would argue, just because I said it!!"

You flatter yourself, GfS. Yes, we would argue the point, but not because YOU said it. We'd argue it if ANYONE said it, because, unfortunately, Obama is NOT the best President we ever had. By far.

Like many, I'm sure, I had high hopes for him. But he's proven to be a big disappointment. Not because he is owned by "the International Bankers" as you keep intoning, but because he is apparently not reading the situation accurately. He keeps trying for consensus and cooperation with the Republicans, and he's just not going to get it. They WANT him to fail, so they will buck anything he tries to do, no matter how good it is for the country (and in a lot of cases, because it is good for the country).

What he needs to do is go in there and KICK BUTT! That's what FDR and "Give 'em Hell" Harry Truman did, and they got results!

Politics is hardball, and "Mr. Nice Guy" is going to have a rough go.

BUT—

I would a helluva lot rather have Obama in there than Rick Perry, Michele Bachman, or some of the other people who are crawling out of the woodwork. Dennis Kucinich has the intelligence to do the job, but he just doesn't have the charisma to get elected (tried a couple of times so far and didn't even get to first base). Obama ALSO has the intelligence, but the question at this point is, does he have the backbone to get tough? From what we've seen so far, apparently not.

By the way, GfS, since you don't like Obama, who do YOU want to see elected as President when Obama's first term is up?
