Strings are a very personal thing, aren't they! I used to use Martin Phosphor Bronze - had to take 'em off as they lasted me about a day before going brown and losing their ring (my hands).

D'Addarios were a disappointment. Then I tried Elixir Bronze Nanoweb - perfect. Polywebs - disappointment. Now I used Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanowebs - which keep their tone and clarity on my guitars for a long time.

The variables appear to be: the strings, the guitars, and the owners' ears! :-)
