Well, this interests me because I do love a lot of these old songs and they're a deep part of my heart. However, I wouldn't be comfortable saying people from other faith traditions can't contribute their songs of spirit, if they want. I think it would be fun to have a night especially for songs of spirit -- e.g. one of my favorite "spirituals" is a Sufi song called "You Are," which describes Spirit better for me than most of the Christian songs I hear.
