The music people who are the most successful are the folks who can't do anything else. Sounds like me, but I wouldn't exactly call myself successful only because I'm not where I would wish to be.

For me, touring was like a drug, or so it sounds from the recovering druggies I have known. I was at my best on stage, and my lowest off stage. I toured for a couple of years with a great group, a trio. We had a lot of fun, but the musical fit wasn't a good one, so realizing this, I quit rather than alienate two good friends. The money was good too, and I miss that, certainly. And continuing the drug addict analogy, I miss the experience. And I really want it back. Just like a junkie, gimme some more. 'Cause boy, it sure was fun.
