I have some Sing Outs and have to look at the dates. One has a cover of Cisco Houston, another Jerry Silverman. Alan Arkin wrote his first song in one called "The Klan".

Irwin Silber was the editor in those days. I miss his style which was highly controversial, sometimes combative but always interesting, particularly his feuds with Izzy Young. Sing Out in those days was highly politicized and for me made exciting reading. It was smaller and you could get through it quickly, throwing it into your guitar case.
