It's a few years since the first delivery was abolished, but you should still get a second delivery six days a week. The last time I looked, the DO's phone number was on the 739 that you get left if they can't deliver. The card will also show the opening hours of your DO's public counter - if you go outwith these hours, even if there's anybody there, they're unlikely to have access to your mail.
