McGinnis has already trashed his cred with this book which has been shredded by several "liberal media" outlets including the NYT. I haven't read it but from what I understand it has few if any footnotes and is therefore all hearsay--if true, that's not anything a writer would put out if he were interested in his reputation. If anything in it were true and provable then why would NYT trash it? Doesn't make sense. NYT learned its lesson with Judith Miller and Jason Blair--another writer so interested in his rep that he blatantly made up stories and then laughed and bragged when they were exposed as lies even though it meant his career was over.

I'll guarantee the stuff about her having sex with a black basketball player is false. She's not the type. She's the kind of white woman who would never sleep with any man that wasn't white. It would never occur to her to do otherwise. She only finds white men attractive and the rest are scarcely human as far as she is concerned. But it's precisely the juicy kind of tidbit that rightwing spin doctors would put in the book hoping it would stir up prurient ideas in liberal minds.

Other stuff in the book might be true, but they're going to make sure the stuff that really stands out most and titillates liberal sex fantasies overshadows it and gets all the attention so they can then expose it as false which will then destroy all interest in anything else that appears in that book so that even when the true stuff in it is brought to light, the public will go "YAWN! It's a dead issue!" It's worked before and it will work again but only if the "liberal media" have a field day with it. Well, they did but not in the way the RW kooks had hoped.

They're not about to be taken in twice and they are wise to think that way. They are right to try and suppress the book. It needs to be investigated and whatever in it that's true then exposed to the public BEFORE this book is ever seen. Not hard to imagine why they feel this way if the book has nothing provable in it and it obviously doesn't or it wouldn't have been received so badly by a media that loves to put this woman on the spot. They know a rat when they smell it and so do I. Do you?
