I don't understand the complaint that logging in is too much trouble.

If you're using a home computer, you can log in once and stay logged on forever. That's what I do. (You might not want do that if you share a computer with another Mudcatter, however.)

If you're using a business computer, and you're worried that your boss might object to the amount of time you spend on Mudcat during business hours, then I can understand you wanting to cover your tracks—but then you need to take a lot more precautions than just avoiding logging in.

I have experimented with public computers in a public library, and I believe cookies are automatically deleted when I end my session. That means I still have to log in, but I don't need to worry about logging out. I suppose not all public computers work the same way, though. I'd be interested in hearing about other people's experiences.

I think I have had some problems when experimenting with multiple browsers however. Like, if I log in on one browser, and then log off in a different browser, the browsers can get confused about whether I'm logged in or not. I don't remember the details; I did those experiments a long time ago.

Anyway, I suspect that if those who have had problems logging in, or staying logged in, could describe their problems in a little more detail, we might be able to come up with a solution.

Maybe this isn't the best thread to do that, though.
