Well last night was my 4th (possibly 5th?) visit to this monthly session and every time I come away on a high!

The standard of musicianship is excellent, and the variety of songs and tunes played/sung is is fantastic. I'm only able to join in with most of the tunes at a very basic level (or not at all) at the moment, and still working on "getting my ear in" but never feel patronised that my skill level is way below that of most other participants. Everyone's very welcoming and Ian has a light touch on the MC-ing. Most of the time a tune or song just "evolves" from people twiddling around after the last one, but Ian does make sure that individuals get a chance to do a turn or lead off on a tune.

Can't wait for the next one!
