I remember hearing Jesse at the Ark in Ann Arbor (I used to volunteer there). I was impressed with his gentle, thoughtful, sensitive (but not self-absorbed) style. A songwriter's songwriter.
Hope the recovery -- like the surgery -- is 100% successful!
