Hello Radriano.
I am a Grandson of the Skipper of Laforey when it went down.
That lyric you did not think made sense was because it was refering to the Evening Newspaper Sellers calling out that Laforey had been lost with all 20 crew from Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
So calling through the "teatime town" does make sense.

If you Google "Trawler Laforey" you will find much information now because Three Norwegian Divers found Laforey on the 12th January 2010.
Laforey hit Sendingane Reef and not Ytterro, was well south of the Arctic Circle and so was not on the Arctic Coast of Norway.
The Crew were not abandoned as my own Father and others went to try and assist along with the Norwegian lifeboats and there are epitaphs to some of the Crew in Scartho Cemetery, Grimsby, 1 in Fleetwood cemetery and one in Alesund Norway.
Sadly only one body was found aproximately 70 miles to the North, 11 days after the tragedy, off the Island of Runde, Norway west of Alesund.
Gareth Evans.
