But that's not the point for me. As I see it the programmes have always been a celebration of the results when Celtic music was transplanted by the Irish and Scottish emigrants and subsequently adapted into something quite different but essentially the same (bluegrass, country). The programmes were devised, commissioned, produced and filmed north of the border so it's hardly a surprise that they get broadcast there first. I'm sure they'll get a nationwide airing within the next few months (presumably on BBC4)
