Well, I don't see this as an either/or conversation. Maybe we can have a gospel concert and also have a "songs of/for the spirit" concert, too. If I were to host the latter, what I'd probably do is have maybe a half dozen people volunteer to do three songs from their faith tradition or faith un-tradition, in a performance setting at a particular time and on a particular night, and we'd arrange ahead of time who would be singing what and when, so we'd have an order to the performances and could let one person hold down the F9 button for 15 minutes, then the next person, etc.

However you wanted to do the gospel one would be up to you, but I think this is a very large tent, and there's room for all of us here ...
