If you're in a car, then whatever the cause of feeling odd near power lines it's not the electric field because there isn't any inside a hollow conductor like a car body. You can sit inside a car and even have it struck by lighting and you're perfectly safe.
A house is a different matter, especially if there's a garden or the street outside is near the power lines.
