Believe it or not, I'm fully aware of the concept that the kingdom is with us, and within us. But let me drop back a step. Read Matthew 16: 27 and 28, Mark 8:38 amd 9:1,(The chapter division was done centuries later) and Luke 9:26 and 27. Do you think that Jesus was just messing around with his listeners, switching between references to totally different stages of the "plan" without giving them any indication that he was doing so?
