Packing to leave one's job can have unanticipated blessings. Mine was, I just found the three kids' books that had gone missing after one staffer's little girl got too old to come to work with mommie anymore. (O mommie, I'm too big to go THERE! I go to Big Girl school!)

I spent many hours reading to her, a little at a time, as she grew up among us. I thought the books were long gone. Two, irreplaceable I think, had been well-used when I bought them for my own son, when very, very small, and he turns 21 next week. I'm going to send them to him for Christmas, after they have visited a certain friend of mine in CA. (Yes, you, BG.)

Well! One has the BEST poem, I could almost recall it... knew it would make a great song! So I'm giving it its own thread-- go look for the Sugar Plum Tree, which MUST grow just outside the Mudcat Tavern. (Sorry, the names in the poem, although changed to protect the innocent, have been spoken for already. WhaHoo! More critters I get to write!) I'll clicky to it later if I can.
