In further unfolding revelations, it seems that Chongo was born inside the walls of an American trading & Christian missionary compound on the shores of Nigeria in 1923. For the first 6 months of his life he awoke every day to the playing of the Star Spangled Banner and saluted as the American flag was raised proudly over that little piece of sovereign American territory in darkest Africa, so he's definitely an American citizen. ;-) Amazing what information gets turned up when an election looms near, isn't it?
