Cain's 9-9-9 of course is nonsense, one of those proposals that would never receive a favorable vote in Congress. Lighter spells out his appeal, although his plan dodges the problem.
At this time a gaggle of candidates are attacking Romney and attempting to sound plausible rather than make viable proposals.
The Democrats are doing little better, afraid to make proposals with substance.

I'm afraid that- regardless of the winner- the next Congress and White House will continue to muddle along without attacking the problems of a country trying to catch up with fast-developing ecomomies elsewhere.
