I fought fires with a fellow who was a JW. I taught one of his sons and one of his daughters. Couldn't ask for better people. Those who have knocked on my door have been invited in if it's convenient, and though not necessarily pleased when I passed on the religion stuff, never gave up trying to help me see the light. Once a month, like clockwork, there they were. Nice people.

My fellow firefighter couldn't respond to MVCs because the possibility of having to help with transfusions (volume expanders) was opposed to his beliefs. He was one helluva pump operator though, and since that's who folks on the sharp end depend on, ya just don't pass 'em up. As LH said, good people and great neighbours.

I do however agree with Gnu. This knock on the door at 2:15 pm stuff is a bit much, and sometimes that's early in the morning to me. With them I have never had to be impolite in order to say goodbye.
