Thread Name: Serious Augmented Question!
Subject: RE: Serious Augmented Question!
Just to close this off with an augmented, the version in the Complete Beatles that seems to work easiest on guitar (sticking with the original key of C) is 3 bar chords at the same spot - bar the 3rd fret and then: G11 is then the 3rd and 5th strings (held down) at the 5th fret; G7 is the 3rd string at the 4th fret, 5th string stays down; G7+ is just the 3rd string staying down, and the 2nd string held down at the 4th fret.

This has nothing to do with the recorded version, which is up higher; and to reiterate a conversation I had with Rick Fielding earlier this week: curse these fake versions of the originals. "Complete Beatles" indeed. At least if you had the original transcriptions you could see and hear what was going on. At least there is a Beatles score now out so you can buy the thing if you have 100$.
