An acorn pinged onto my car yesterday from a line of oak trees beside a busy road. Thought we were being been shot at; blooming thing has slightly chipped the paintwork! (But I do love the oaks. They were planted all over Norfolk UK to mark the boundaries of the fields. They're hundreds of years old, and each one is home to over eighty species of creatures!)
