On my CD player if you want to scroll to the middle of a song and start, forget it. All you can do is skip from the beginning of one song to another. If you want to go backwards and forwards a few seconds, no way. I imagine they do this on really expensive ones, where you can cue to any number you like, but not on my Sony.
